The RePLANT project, completed in May 2024, aimed to improve post-harvest storage for smallholder farmers, and an end-line evaluation by Progress Inc. assessed its outcomes against baseline data. The evaluation focused on measuring progress and effectiveness in meeting project goals, particularly in Lumbini Province (Banke and Dang Districts), with an emphasis on the hermetic storage market (specifically PICs bags). Key objectives included assessing changes in post-harvest storage practices, identifying gaps in adopting these technologies, understanding shifts in beneficiary conditions and perceptions, and providing a conclusive analysis of the project’s overall impact on smallholders’ use of hermetic storage.
